Introduction:
The Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GoI) has established the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous, and self-sustained premier testing organization under the Societies Registration Act (1860) for conducting efficient, transparent, and international standardized tests in order to assess the competency of candidates for admission to higher education institutions with a mission to improve equity and quality in education by developing and administering research-based valid, reliable, efficient, transparent, fair and international level assessments.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the Central University Entrance Test (CUET) for Undergraduate (UG) programmes.
Universities use CUET scores for admission to undergraduate programmes in all Central and participating universities. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) provides a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from rural and other remote areas, and help establish better connections with the Universities. A single Examination enables the Candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admissions process to various of Central Universities/Participating Universities.

NTA will soon release the CUET syllabus PDF 2026 on the official website at cuet.nta.nic.in/syllabus.
CUET UG syllabus 2026 is divided into 3 sections, including
- Languages
- Domain Subjects
- General Aptitude Test
CUET UG syllabus for each subject is based on NCERT class 12th curriculum.
Exam Date:
NTA will release the official CUET UG 2026 Date Sheet in March 2026 on cuet.nta.nic.in. The exam will likely take place in May 2026, and registration will begin in the first week of March 2026.
