Who Can Apply?
The LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2026 has two categories:
1. General Scholarship – After Class 12/Diploma

- Passed the qualifying examination during the academic years 2023–24, 2024–25 or 2025–26.

2. Special Scholarship – After Class 10

- Have passed Class 10 or equivalent with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.
- Passed during the academic years 2023–24, 2024–25 or 2025–26.
- Have taken admission in 2026–27 for the first year of an eligible 10+2/intermediate, vocational, diploma or ITI course.
- Have a parent/guardian with annual income not exceeding ₹4.5 lakh.
How Much Scholarship Can Students Receive?
The scholarship amount depends on the course:

The amount is generally paid in two instalments. For example, medical students can receive ₹25,000 per instalment, while engineering students can receive ₹20,000 per instalment.
How Are Students Selected?
Selection is based primarily on academic merit, considering the percentage obtained in Class 12 or Class 10, depending on the scholarship category.
If students have the same percentage, the scheme provides preference based on lower family income and, where necessary, further financial assessment.
The application is automatically routed to one of LIC’s 112 Divisional Offices based on the applicant’s address PIN code. Each division has a specified number of scholarship slots.
